A Vietnamese Pho place catering to high school students.
This place is directly across the street from Gleneagle Secondary School in Coquitlam. When I arrived there around 4pm, the place was already occupied by about a dozen students catching an early dinner. Prices are very low, and they have student specials.
The Pho I ordered was okay, but the broth on the diluted side. Simply put, there wasn't a lot of depth to the flavour. The serving size of meat was par for the course. I got a "combo" which meant that my Pho came with one deep fried spring roll. The roll was so small that I inhaled it.
Adequate restaurant, best left to high school students. -

Wonderful noodles！ The soup is cooked over hours and hours.
The price is very reasonable, so as the portion.
The taste and quality have nothing to do with the ethnicity of the owner. -

Food was horrible! I ordered pho and being Vietnamese I know my soups! The owners need to step up their game if they want to stay in business. I'm surprised it's lasted this long.
I would not recommend this place. The beef wasn't fresh, the soup base was decent but overall it was not worth the $. I guess the owners are Chinese but still if you want to run a Pho place, you're going to have to do better than that.
Maybe it's the location, near a school that's kept them in business this long.
When there's Pho Sen, Pho Hoa, Pho Huy, Pho Phu Tinh in the area amongst others that they are competing against I'm really surprised they are still here. The owners seems really nice, she seemed really concern why I didn't finish my soup...I barely touched it (yes it was that bad), and I had to tell her the truth. Hopefully she'll try to improve. -

Usually I order the barbecue meat with rice, but today I wanted Pho. I love the Pho at Saigon Fare Cafe, and I'm looking for a place closer to me to compare to. We decided to order from Eatwell, since the menu was very reasonably priced. We ordered the Vietnamese sandwich (excellent, although not like the Banh places in Houston), meatballs and beef flank soup (missing some flavour, perhaps the MSG, which may be a good thing), barbecue chicken on rice (nicely presented, but not cut up), chicken curry with rice (could have been spicier), and 2 shrimp salad rolls (shrimp was all over the place and sauce was a bit too sweet).
Overall, not a bad place for cheap eats. I would definitely order the Vietnamese sandwich and barbecue chicken on rice. The curry chicken would need to be a bit spicier and the free egg rolls weren't the same as Saigon Fare Cafe. It is literally a family run restaurant, with Mom and Dad running the kitchen and the kids running the restaurant. Also remind them to include utensils because we ordered take out and didn't have any in our package.
